Ideas For How To Mend And Heal Your Broken Heart

By Randy Brickhouse Sr.

The emotional pain when a romance comes to an end is one that feels as though no end is in sight. This emotion cannot be healed with medical care or medication, the best way to heal your broken heart is with time. There are ways to improve your mood and begin to work through the healing process.

Crying is also part of the emotional process so if you feel like crying and screaming do it. Holding it in will only intensify your emotions. Talking to someone is excellent for getting out exactly what you are feeling. Talk to someone who can be objective and not place blame on you or the one who broke your heart. They should be willing to listen, let you cry and just be there for you.

This is not the time to be alone so surrounding yourself with friends and family will be beneficial for you. Being with those who love and care for you will be good for letting out those feelings you might otherwise hold back on. Often times just having someone that will listen to what you are feeling is the best medicine.

Spend time on yourself. Do not let yourself go physically and mentally. Do something you avoided, such as changing your hairstyle or buy a new outfit. Staying healthy is a big part of overcoming heartache. Make sure to eat and get plenty of rest. If you wear yourself down physically it will be difficult to feel good about you as an individual and doing something for you is what is important.

Take up a hobby that you avoided while in the relationship. If you ate out a lot during the relationship, get some information on taking a gourmet cooking class. This is a great way to learn something you are interested in as well as meet new friends who share your interest.

Remember to not blame yourself or become your own worst enemy. There may have been problems due to you during the relationship, but this is not the time to dwell on what could you have done different. This is the time to heal and reminiscing about 'what if' will delay the healing.

Grieving is part of the process, it was a loss and you need to go through the grieving process, however, look forward to the future. Make plans to include adventures you would enjoy, go for walks in the sunshine, workout and have fun being you.

Time will heal your broken heart and spending time making yourself happy will make the process a smooth one. Through the entire process it is important to remind yourself that you are a special person that deserves the happiness you will have. - 30299
