Traditions And Wedding Clothes

By Sarah J Jones

Every society has some traditions, which can be seen in various forms. Wedding traditions are on the top of the list amongst them. These traditions may vary according to customs, topography, and the way of life or the season; yet, they survive in one or the other form and have always been a major component of man's history. No matter which part of the world you belong to, every society has some traditions that cannot be ignored.

In European, Asian, and Arabic customs, one fact is similar, that is selecting the bride and bridegroom. In a number of cultures, this job is carried out by the family or by the elder ones, whereas in some other cultures, the adults select one another as a life partner. Customs of the area has a profound effect on the wedding traditions.

In Asian culture, one night of merriment is celebrated before the wedding day. This is the night when a bride is soaped up in different types of traditional scents and she dreams about the next day. In some other parts, Hen Night replaces this night, where the bride enjoys all the fun and freedom before she gets married.

A major issue that arises at the time of wedding is, 'what to wear'? Bride-to-be looks forward to be everybody's point of focus on her wedding day. She wants to look gorgeous. She should be the most prominent person in the function. Her outfit should be the representative of her thoughts and dreams. A wrong choice can let her down in her most important function.

If you are the mother of the bride, you must wait for the mum of the other member to choose her outfit too. Then you can buy something that should compliment with her dress. One most important thing that should be kept in mind while deciding an outfit is that the colour you choose for yourself must suit your complexion.

On the other hand, if you are the brother or sister of either one of the wedding couple, you must make a little effort in order to look different from others. Let us say for girls, they must choose a colour that should highlight their personality. There are many colours with gorgeous styles available in the market.

They must not wear something inappropriate; for example, black should not be worn, as it is called a colour of sadness, wearing white colour is seen as an insult to the bride, and red as too sparkling to wear. The colour you wear is supposed to enhance your personality and is not supposed to diminish it. For boys, they don't have a large variety of colours to wear. However, they can enhance their looks by getting a modern and trendy haircut that should get along with their dress.

Once you have decided the colour, you should go for the style. Your designer can help you in implementing your imagination on your dress, yet you must be clear about what you exactly want. Gowns, skirts, and jeans provide you with an interesting and delicate combination. - 30299
