What to Consider for the Wedding Ceremony?

By PJ Easton

For many couples and their families the ceremony should reflect their dreams, expectations and values. Therefore the most significant part is the wedding ceremony.

When the bride arrives at the ceremony in her white wedding dress, while the groom is waiting for her, the room is full of anticipation.

The etiquette of a traditional wedding is essential and should be followed.

When the couple wants to celebrate their wedding in a Christian way, they most likely will choose a church for the ceremony. In this case the groom has to wear a black suit and the bride an outstanding beautiful white wedding dress.

Today many couples decide to have a non-religious wedding ceremony. They want to get married by a family member or a friend, but they still want to follow tradition, then consider following:

A traditional wedding ceremony includes mostly following parts:

1.Opening words of the officiant

2.Entrance of the bride and groom accompanied with music

3.A poetry and wedding reading start (i.e. from the holy bible)

4.Attendants or witnesses sign the wedding papers

5.Wedding speeches and vows follow

6.Exchange of the wedding rings, followed by a blessing, officiant's sanction of the marriage, or community commitment to support the marriage

7.The first kiss as a married couple

8.Ending and walking out escorted by music

Before the ceremony can start, there is a lot of planning involved. Take a pen and make notes or answer following questions?

1.Make a guests list of people you would like to have around your

2.Send out the official invitation to your guests in time.

3.Find the officiant for your ceremony and get help with the marriage certificate

4.Find a wonderful location for the ceremony

5.Decide who will be the wedding processional and who take part of your bridal party

6.Organize the wedding rings

7.What kind of music is suitable during the cerenomy?

8.What happen after the ceremony? Is a wedding party planed?

9.What to wear during the wedding ceremony?

10.Do you have planed to change clothes after the ceremony?

Give yourself a minimum of 6 months before the wedding. Tick everything on your list, when each task is done.

Wedding planing is most likely a project. Be focused on getting things done.

I hope this short overview of what happens during the traditional ceremony, and what should be organized prior to the event, will help you to save time for your wedding plan. - 30299
