Planning My Bride Wedding Speech

By Karen Anderson

When I got engaged, I had to write a bride wedding speech like everybody else. What I didn't realize though, was how important this would actually be. I was so busy preparing for my big day, that I complete forgot everything about my speech, and put it off until the last moment. I only realized that I actually had to sit down and start writing my wedding speech a few days before the wedding.

So the best advice you can get for your wedding speech, is to plan ahead. Start planning the speech in good time - I certainly would wish I had done that.

When you think about your bride speech, it is really quite challenging task; after all you first have to stand in front of everyone and say your vows, and after that you have to make a speech. That can be pretty nerve-wracking!

As I got closer to my big day, I really tried to think of an emotional and beautiful wedding speech - but I just couldn't think of what to say. So I decided to sit down and just write down keywords for all of my ideas of what I wanted to include in the speech. Talk to the bridegroom, my father, mother and thanking all the guests for coming to the wedding.

There are a lot of faster methods for planning your bride wedding toast, believe me on that. But this was a method that worked for me on my bride wedding speech. Basically it was just writing keywords down, and not in a specific order. At this stage, I just had to get the ideas.

It really helped me when I started using guides and just put down my thoughts. I think the best way to plan the wedding speech, is actually never to start writing it. If you just put down your thoughts and all the things you want to include, you are over the first major hurdle of writing the perfect bride wedding speech. - 30299
