A Look At Three Different Southern Weddings and Ways They Were As Different as The Brides

By Connor Sullivan

Nobody seems to like planning elaborate weddings more than the people living in the South . A lot of little southern belles grow up thinking about their big day and how it will be . This article will discuss 3 separate southern weddings and some of their details such as Lexington wedding photographer taking photos on a horse farm as only a southern wedding photographer Lexington KY can do and the elaborate decorations that were done at a wedding in Texas .

The first wedding is one that had a beautiful setting on a big horse farm in Kentucky. The blugrass state is full of beautiful rolling horse farms with white fences as well as the home of the Kentucky Derby. Horsesappear to be a big part of many people's lives who live there. The bride grew up on such a farm and wanted her wedding to be held there with a large white tent overlooking the green pastures of the property . For a southern girl , she was much more cowgirl than pageant queen so the theme of the wedding was more rustic than formal with hay bales and wood fencing as part of the decorations . She wore a simple white sundress with white cowgirl boots and rode into the ceremony on her favorite horse. It was how she had always dreamed it to be and it was captured wonderfully by a great photographer from Lexington.

The next wedding was a huge formal affair at a mansion in Texas . This was for a true southern girl who felt that more sparkle and embellishment on things , the better. She truly followed the motto that everything in Texas is bigger and had an elaboratte five course sit down dinner for 700 guests . Her folks spent a fortune when it came to the decorations for the party with just the flowers costing over ,000 flown in from all different parts of the world. The bride had not just 1 designer wedding gown but 2 . The first Vera Wang gown was for the ceremony and the second Armani dress was for the reception. Her wedding was such an extravaganza that a cable television show filmed it for a show about high priced weddings.

The last wedding is a more intimate but unique occasion that took place on an old classic Riverboat that cruised down the Mississippi River for the ceremony and the wedding party . The bride had a large connection for these old riverboats as her family had owned a Riverboat company for several generations and therefore believed that the only place to get married was on her hometown river in one of the classic old steam boats.

Weddings are now as varied and personalized as brides are today. They no longer need to be in a church and the reception hall near it but usually they they are located in a place that has special meaning to the groom or the bride . These personalized weddings are a great way for the bride and groom to express themselves and to completely relish in their special day. - 30299
