Romance Is An Art - 5 Tips On How To Be A True Romantic

By Marc Sandford

It's hard to imagine living a life without love. It's equally hard to imagine a love relationship without romance. If you love your partner, there is romance in your relationship.

When people complain that their partner isn't romantic, they usually mean that he or she doesn't try to be more explicit in how they express love. They tend to rely to heavily on routines and habits. Habits and routines are the greatest of romance killers.

Romance calls for some preparation, imaginativeness, and spontaneous living in the moment. Here are a some tips to aim you in the right direction.

1.) Be the center of attention. Try over dressing for a place that you wouldn't normally dress up for. Walk into a bowling alley dressed up like you were at your senior prom.

While bowling, act like two teenagers in love for the first time. You will need to act as if you aren't aware of the looks and stares. Some of those stares will be envious.

2.) Spend a warm summer night under the moonlit sky in a raft on a clam lake. It may be difficult to line things up just right but this is guaranteed to be one incredible night. Bring some snacks, perhaps a little wine and cheese. Lie down, cuddle, look up at the sky and listen...

3.) Go back to the place where you first met or where you went on your first date.

4.) On a weekend, go to a town or city that you have never been to before. The idea is to be totally spontaneous. When you see something intriguing, stop the car, get out and explore.

When evening comes find a place to spend the night. Make a point to purchase something to remember the experience by.

5.) Have a romantic dinner where the two of you do the meal preparation together. When cooking, don't forget the romantic music and playfulness.

Some of these tips may strike you as impractical and silly, but that is exactly what romance is about (besides love). Now picture spending a life together filled up with these kinds of experiences. - 30299
